Dear Members,
As the year draws to a close, we wanted to let you know that the Academy's Board of Governors has approved a modest increase in membership dues for 2017.
It's been six years since our last increase. During that time, we've implemented a number of enhancements to our member services, including the introduction and migration to online voting for the Emmys, expansion of second round voting to all members, and a new streaming platform for viewing nominated Emmy content, FYC screeners and our Sneak Peek program. To allow for future enhancements as well as an expanded calendar of member events, we are enacting a $25 increase in Television Academy dues, effective January 1.
Membership Dues (effective January 1, 2017):
Active member dues - $200 per year.
Associate member dues - $125 per year.
Student member dues - $75 per year.
Faculty member dues - $100 per year.
In addition, we will increase Film Group membership from $75 to $95 per year. This is an amazing value considering the annual calendar of 70+ first-run films available to members and their guests, now screening in our new Wolf Theatre, a state-of-the-art facility powered by the latest in Dolby technology.
When you receive your invoice on your dues anniversary date, you can still pay by check, credit card or online.
We value your membership and know you take pride in it as well. During the year ahead, your emmy magazine subscription increases to 10 issues per year, and we'll offer you many new opportunities, events and benefits -- not the least of which is your ability to celebrate industry excellence with the Emmy Awards. We look forward to your continued participation.
Sincerely,
Maury McIntyre
