It's intern season at the Television Academy Foundation and we are pleased to have 53 interns from across the U.S. working with our host companies in Los Angeles. Thanks to the Foundation's partnership with Entertainment Industry College Outreach program, this month our intern class of 2018 got to relax and network with 20 other interns from the HBCU in LA initiative, at a bowling party at Pickwick Bowl in Burbank.
EICOP's program brings students from historically black colleges and universities to Los Angeles for summer internships in the entertainment industry, and has been an important partner to the Foundation. "Bringing our students together is a great way to advance the networking and relationships needed for future success," said the Foundation's Executive Director Jodi Delaney. "Connecting students to our alumni and each other, in addition to meeting professionals in the industry through the summer, are priorities for us."
Selected from 1,822 applications submitted by students hailing from more than 300 different colleges and universities, the 2018 Foundation intern class represents 45 different schools and 21 states and Puerto Rico.
