Vasquez to be Honored at Celebration on April 26 in Los Angeles

The Television Academy Foundation proudly congratulates our Executive Director, Anne Vasquez, on being named one of the 2025 Influential Latinos in Media by The Imagen Foundation. Vasquez will be honored at the 15th Annual Influential Latinos in Media celebration on April 26 in Los Angeles, California.

The Imagen Foundation supports and encourages the inclusion of Latino talent, executives and voices in all aspects of entertainment media. The organization's Influential Latinos in Media list recognizes and celebrates executives who drive the entertainment industry forward, leveraging their expertise, business acumen and unwavering dedication to achieve success and influence within their companies, the industry and the Latino community.

Vasquez is a veteran media executive who joined the Foundation in 2024. She oversees the nonprofit's daily operations and leads strategic planning for all the Foundation's programs, including its renowned Internship Program, the College Television Awards and The Interviews: An Oral History of Television.

The daughter of Cuban immigrants and a passionate champion of inclusion, Vasquez is focused on fulfilling the charitable organization's mission to educate and inspire students and emerging talent from all backgrounds interested in media careers and raising funds to support the nonprofit's education programs.

Raised in Miami, Florida, Vasquez began her career as a reporter for the Miami Herald and later for the San Jose Mercury News before serving as the managing editor of the South Florida Sun Sentinel when the newsroom won its first Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for public service. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was an executive at Tribune Publishing and CEO of EdSource Inc., an award-winning California nonprofit news organization with the state's largest newsroom devoted to education.

"I am deeply honored by this recognition from the Imagen Foundation," said Vasquez. "I am committed to strengthening our community's presence and influence within the entertainment industry through my work at the Foundation and providing access and opportunities to students from all walks of life."
