The Television Academy's Board of Governors has voted to expand its Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony to two consecutive nights, both of which will take place the weekend prior to the Emmy Awards telecast.
The new two-show format at the Microsoft Theater will include presentations of above- and below-the-line awards, as previously presented in a single evening event. These back-to-back ceremonies will honor a wide range of contributors including art directors, costume designers, cinematographers, sound editors and will include both non-traditional short form content as well as traditional content.
The 2016 Creative Arts weekend shows will be produced by Bob Bain who also produced the 2015 show.
