Los Angeles, CA - The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has hired Marc Wade for the newly-created position of Executive Producer, Digital.
The announcement was made by Television Academy COO Alan Perris. In this role, Wade will be responsible for the production of the Academy’s digital experiences, including the Television Academy website and related apps.
Wade will report to VP of Digital Maury McIntyre, who will continue to oversee the Television Academy’s digital strategy and initiatives.
Wade will be responsible for digital and website production, leading digital product and platform development and coordinating digital content programming.
Wade will collaborate with key department heads for the Television Academy to ensure quality representation in all of the Academy’s digital initiatives. In conjunction with McIntyre, Wade will implement and execute the digital product and editorial strategies necessary to achieve the Academy’s vision and goals in the digital arena.

Prior to joining the Television Academy, Wade spent four years as Director of Destination Web Sites for Disney Interactive. Wade built and led a diverse, cross-functional team of producers, writers, developers and graphic artists in fulfilling site functionality and content objectives.
Under Wade’s direction, the company delivered award-winning online presences in over 22 countries for the launch of the “Toy Story 3” website. His team was awarded a People’s Voice Award for this project, as well as Webby Award nominations for their work on the “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Frankenweenie” websites.
Before Disney Interactive, Wade was the Director of Production for Paramount Digital Entertainment. He led a team that pioneered the design, development and ongoing production of a web presence for one of the world’s most famous entertainment properties, Star Trek.
Wade has additionally held positions at CBS Interactive and Apple Computer, Inc.
Wade pursued graduate studies in Computer Science at UCLA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge. He is the recipient of the Best Online or Wireless Promotion from the Interactive Media and Marketing Association.
