Ruth Buzzi was an Emmy Award-nominated actor who appeared in popular television series and films. She was perhaps best known for her role as the frumpy Gladys Ormphby (who would hit people with her handbag) in Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. She can also be seen in such television series as Sesame Street, That Girl, and The Dean Martin Show. Buzzi also appeared in films such as "Freaky Friday" (1976), "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again," and "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland."
