Britt Allcroft was a writer and producer who turned Thomas the Tank Engine children's books into television productions. She served as a writer on series including Shining Time Stations, The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, Storytime with Thomas, Magic Adventures of Mumfie, Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, The Best of Thomas & Friends Clips, Thomas: The Trainz Adventures and over 500 episodes of Thomas & Friends.

She produced the television movie franchise, "Shining Time Station" including "Shining Time Station: 'Tis a Gift," "Shining Time Station: Once Upon a time," "Shining Time Station: Second Chances," "Shining Time Station: One of the Family" and Shining Time Station: Queen for a Day." Other movies she produced include "Mumfie's Quest: The Movie," "Thomas and the Magic Railroad and "Thomas and Friends: Thomas's Snowy Surprise."
